The First Annual Juried Group Show. I SEE 1
We are showing works in the main gallery by Mary Bullock, Stephen Barnett, Malin Abrahamsson, James Rizzi, Kevin Stapp, Irma Bohorquez Geisler, Tattfoo Tan and the winner of the solo show in our front gallery is Avani Patel.
The show will run from May 8 to 29th and there will be an opening reception on May 8th from 3-6pm.
Our juror was Kari Conte of apexart in NYC, a native New Yorker, Ms. Conte is the Gallery Director of apexart, a not for profit contemporary visual arts organization based in Tribeca. Ms. Conte is also a former Program Associate at the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art at Snug Harbor Cultural Center (2001-2003) and Assistant Director of Vivian Horan Fine Art (1998-2001). At the Newhouse Center, she managed the studio program and worked on exhibitions including Fresh Kills: Artists Respond to the Closure of the Fresh Kills Landfill and The Invisible Thread: Buddhist Spirit in Contemporary Art. Ms. Conte received a BA in Art History from Purchase College.
