A resident of Staten Island since 1979, marc Zimetbaum is one of the principal founders and a former director of the legendary New York Studio School.  He was an instructor in figure drawing and sculpture at the Art Lab at Snug Harbor Cultural Center for many years, and for four years has taught figure sculpture at the Chautauqua Institution's School of Fine Art, a graduate-level summer program.
